ABOUT US

Spin Spin is a creative studio based in Melbourne, Australia, producing textured, colourful, considered work. Our style is hand-drawn and hand painted and a little bit wonky.

PRODUCTS

We produce a small-batch range of textiles, paper goods and artworks which you can buy in the shop (or Etsy shop) or you can commission a custom illustration of your house. We screen print some of this material, which is available in limited releases. Sign up to the mailing list to find out more. If you’re a shop interested in stocking our products, please see the Wholesale section for more information.

SERVICES

We also work with like-minded businesses and organisations, producing custom graphic design, lettering, patterns and illustrations. Our clients are doing great things in the world, while trying to make it a better place, and include local businesses, not-for-profits and arts and community organisations. We would love to hear from you if you’d like to work together. We also welcome collaborations with like-minded people and would love to hear from you if you’d like to work together.

MATERIALS & IMPACT

Our products use the finest raw materials, including cotton and bamboo paper, and linen and organic hemp fabric. Cards are printed on 100% recycled stock, and we keep packaging to a minimum (and biodegradable, where possible). With everything we do, we try to have minimal environmental impact. As well as sourcing raw materials that are natural and sustainable, we also seek locally produced goods where we can, and 100% recycled or organic where possible. See our FAQ page for more information.

Our items are shipped via Australia Post and Sendle, Australia's first 100% carbon neutral shipping service, and packed in recycled paper or compostable mailers. We also reuse whatever leftovers we can, and compost the rest (including paper and even fabric off-cuts!)

BACKGROUND

Spin Spin is the work of Susan Fitzgerald, and began back while she was studying graphic design at RMIT in Melbourne. Wanting to get away from the computer screen, Susan began screen printing designs onto fabric and paper, which she sold at markets and cute and crafty shops. When not working, Susan’s usually hanging out with her dog, reading books about typography or taking photos (some of which end up on Instagram @hellospinspin or her personal account @hellosusanfitzgerald). She also has an occasional side project called Studio Space, documenting other artists' workspaces.
